Elijah Durman is a Sudanese resident of a Kenya refugee camp and the Founder of DET Technical. As a passionate social entrepreneur, he demonstrates creative thinking in youth life transformation and remains boldly committed to changing young lives through technology. His current project addresses poor communication solutions in remote areas for both refugee and host communities, while simultaneously tackling electronic waste collection, recycling, and training youth in such trades. Through this innovative initiative, Elijah creates jobs for youth, solves critical communication issues, and protects the environment through waste recovery, exemplifying the entrepreneurial excellence that earned him this prestigious recognition.
