Now the real work begins.
You will have experienced people in your corner. The more clarity and openness you bring, the more valuable this process becomes.
Start by watching this welcome video from our founder Callum Laing.
Before your first session, complete the questionnaire.
Takes 5–10 minutes. Your chair uses this to prepare for your first session and understand where they can add the most value.
HOW THE NEXT 6 MONTHS WORK
Months 1 & 2
Getting aligned
Your first sessions are about understanding your business, your goals, and the challenges you’re facing. Together, you’ll establish priorities and define what success looks like.
Months 3 & 4
Exploring opportunities
Your board will help you think through key decisions, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities that may accelerate growth.
Months 5 & 6
Reviewing progress
You’ll reflect on what’s been achieved, discuss what’s next, and decide how to continue building momentum beyond the programme.
HOW TO GET THE MOST FROM YOUR BOARD
Come with a real problem.
Your board is most valuable when you bring a specific challenge, not a general update. The clearer your question, the sharper their input.
This is a partnership
They’re not employees. They’re experienced people who want to help. The more you invest in the relationship, the more you’ll get back.
Don’t ignore the network
Their contacts, credibility and reputation are yours to draw on. Even having a board signals something to investors, clients and talent.
Keep the momentum
Update your board between sessions. Short notes go a long way. Relationships deepen when people feel involved, not just consulted.

QUESTIONNAIRE
HELP YOUR CHAIR PREPARE
This questionnaire helps your chair understand where you are, what support you need, and how to make your first session as valuable as possible. This is for your chair’s eyes, not a test, and not a form for form’s sake. The more honestly you answer, the more useful your first session will be. Your chair will review this before reaching out.
