I should win the Directors Global Leadership Award because I have consistently led across borders, cultures, and barriers—turning unfamiliar environments into thriving communities.

As a Nigerian-born woman and former construction project manager in the U.S., I learned early how to lead in male-dominated spaces. In 2009, I relocated to Bahrain and soon became President of the American Women’s Association, leading over 250 women from 40+ nationalities. Under my leadership, we launched the award-winning Bahrain Quilt Project, raised over $100,000 for local charities, and became the first non-Bahraini group to receive a national grant—an achievement that led to an audience with the King of Bahrain.

I also bring people together through the power of storytelling and humor. As the Toastmasters District Humorous Speech Champion across Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, and Iraq, I’ve used my voice to unite diverse audiences and inspire others to lead with authenticity.

Today, I coach women entrepreneurs from multicultural backgrounds to speak with confidence and build purpose-driven businesses. I’ve served on the boards of the American Chamber of Commerce, Women in Tech Bahrain, and the Lions Club Riffa, consistently using my leadership to bridge cultures and elevate communities.

Whether on construction sites, international stages, or community boards, I lead with vision, courage, and a deep commitment to helping others rise—across borders and beyond limitations.
